We gave lectures in the city of Bristol and on weekends travelled to a city around 100 miles away where we could concentrate upon practices and exercises and lightly deal with administrative matters.

Some members from Greece and Spain had joined us and had opened up centres in the UK. I enjoyed the liveliness of this more cosmopolitan meeting.

The exercises continued with varying degrees of success, an example of the kind of exercises we were given was an astral exercise in which we needed to all come out of our bodies and meet up in a room where we could all get taught, of course they were never as successful as that, but I do remember coming out of my body and seeing all the students there, most of which were just asleep and had not projected into the astral plane, but out of my body I could see the thoughts and desires of one person in particular, where it was important for me to see it, I was only shown something that could help me.

Reynaldo seemed to be particularly successful at astral projection, at times coming out into the room, he was getting information to us and at times seemed like a guide to the other side. I had heard about students who met up while out of their bodies and who travelled together in the astral world, that was fine, but I wanted information from which I could change myself most of all as it was my main concern. I wanted to stop being fearful, proud, angry and all those horrible things that I was beginning to see that I was; I really wanted to change myself.

Reynaldo and other students visited our study centre, as he was about to walk into the room that had been painted seven times he stepped back and said that there was a huge amount of strength in there, the force of which knocked him back. We all did practices there and one person came out of their body and heard someone talking, an old man mumbling saying that these Gnostics were evil, a student opened the door and saw this grotesque looking figure, he realised that the old man was part of forces that were trying to take him and others out of gnosis.
